Teeth Whitening
Is whitening your teeth safe?
Definitely. Teeth whitening is not harmful if you comply with product directions and guidelines. The team at Blakeney Dental offers Zoom whitening treatments for safe, effective results. You can get your teeth whitened in just one appointment or gradually with a take-home teeth whitening kit.
In either instance, the Zoom whitening solution is not harmful to put in your mouth and on your teeth. You may, however, experience temporary tooth and gum sensitivity due to the bleaching agents.
How does the Zoom in-office procedure work?
The Zoom in-office teeth-whitening process is simple and can potentially make your teeth up to eight shades brighter in just one visit.* At your appointment, an experienced Blakeney Dental team member will fit upper and lower dental trays into your mouth. These trays will contain the advanced whitening gel.
Then, Dr. Ranzinger or his hygienist covers your lips and gums to shield them from the solution. The trays are filled with the whitening gel and a unique LED lamp is positioned over your teeth. You sit back and relax as the bleach and light combine to whiten your teeth during three 15-minute treatments, all happening in a single visit.
You're comfortable and relaxed between treatments. At the end, your dental expert places a post-treatment gel on your teeth to reduce any sensitivity you might feel. That’s all. Your teeth are whiter, and your smile is brighter in about two hours.
If you'd rather whiten your teeth gradually over the course of a few weeks, ask the Blakeney Dental Center for an at-home teeth-whitening kit.
